Coal to be used for settling energy crisis: Asad Umar

KARACHI: Coal reserves will be used as solution of energy crisis while defense budget will also be reduced in Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf's (PTI) government, said Asad Umar on Wednesday, Geo News reported.

Leaders of PTI presented their economical manifesto in a press conference here.

The PTI leader said that cheap coal would be used for power generation which will help to overcome circular debt.

Asad Umar said that they would import LNG to overcome the gas crisis and collect only one tax from small business holders and shopkeepers.

On the occasion, PTI leader Jehangir Tareen said that the Army will be taken into confidence for reducing defense budget and Cantonment board will work under Local Governments.
