Karachi: Moach Goth residents protest operation

KARACHI: The residents of Moach Goth protested against the Rangers’ operation in the area where police used tear gas to disperse the angry mob, Geo News reported Saturday.

On Friday night, police and Rangers arrested twelve persons on suspicion during the operation against which the residents staged a protest today and blocked the road by burning tyres.

To scatter the crowd, police resorted fired tear gas and arrested six protesters. Police claimed that they also recovered arms from their possession.

According to Station House Officer (SHO) Maripur, the suspects who were arrested last night were found with hand grenades, drugs and other arms.
