Mauripur Rd. still blocked by protesters

KARACHI: Following murder of a young man, the residents of the area staged protest and blocked the Mauripur Road here, which opened this morning for a while but blocked again as the police left, Geo News reported.

Police said that Yunus Kachchi of Agra Taj Colony was gunned down last evening on Netty Jetty Bridge by unidentified persons, which triggered protests by the residents of the area. The protesters torched tyres and pelted stones on the vehicles that had blocked the Maripur Road, which for a while opened up this morning but as the police left it was again blocked by the protesters.
