Punjab dengue patients’ count rises to 23

LAHORE: One more person has been diagnosed as a patient of dengue virus here, raising the toll up to 23 on Sunday in Punjab, Geo News reported.

Bulk of the patients is under treatment in Meo Hospital, while one more dengue patient has been confirmed in the capital city here.

Punjab health ministry report said that Hanif, 30 was found to be suffering from dengue virus, taking the count of the dengue patients in Punjab province rise to 23.

Health ministry confirmed that 10 patients are under treatment in Meo Hospital, 3 in Jinnah Hospital and General and Services Hospitals 2 each. The rest of the patients are under treatment in other hospitals.

Besides Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura and Bhawalpur districts are also under dengue threat.
