Electricity of Secretariat disconnected
ISLAMABAD: Pak Secretariat’s electricity was disconnected due to non-payment in Islamadad, however it was restored after seven hours.

Minister Water and Power, Chaudary Ahmed Mukhtar has said that there will be no exceptions and electricity of all defaulters will be disconnected.

The federal development department CDA pays the electricity bills of the Pak Secretariat. It has to pay IESCO Rs.1.7 billion in electricity debt because of which the Secretariat’s power supply was discontinued.

There was no electricity in the offices of several ministries in the building and it was only restored after a minimal payment and assurance by CDA that the remaining amount will be paid soon.
