Monsoon rains continue across Sindh

KARACHI: Rain resumed in several areas of the metropolis on Thursday evening.

Heavy showers were experienced in Malir, Landhi, Defence, University Road, PECHS, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and surrounding areas.

According to Chief Meteorologist, Tauseef Alam 16.4 mm of rain has fallen at the Karachi airport.

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas have also received rain. According to the MET Office, Sakhrand has received 28 mm, Larkana 25 mm, Nawabshah 24 mm, Padidan47.5 mm while 8 mm of rain fell in Tando Jam.

Electricity failures have also been reported in areas of Sindh receiving rain.
