Seven dead in southwestern Balochistan floods
QUETTA: At least seven people died after heavy rains deluged parts of southwestern Balochistan here on Saturday, Geo News reported.

A massive floodwater tide swept away the seven unfortunate persons in Qila Saifullah and Loralai.

Around 200 houses were also washed away in Qila Saifullah forcing hundreds to put with the wrath of nature under the open sky.

The flood-hit population desperately awaits relief in those areas. Four people died and five received injuries in the rain-flood-related incidents.

Floodwaters eroded parts of Quetta-Zhob national highway disconnecting the land route between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. Trucks loaded with fruit are still stuck in the deluge.

There in Loralai, Kech Amiq Dam overflowed and the spillover washed the surrounding areas.

Two children and a woman died in the floods near Rod Jogazai.
