Nisar unleashes allegations against President Zardari
ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan continues to level allegations against President Asif Ali Zardari.

Speaking outside parliament, Nisar clearly stated the presidency was involved in giving government advertisements to their favoured channels.

Without naming any channels, Nisar said he was fighting the battle for the free media and called for an independent audit of the distribution of government advertisements.

Nisar alleged that TV anchors were being paid millions; some people were being used under the guise of being journalists and billions of the nation’s money had been spent on this conspiracy.

Nisar also challenged President Zardari and his representatives to take him to court over defamation.

The opposition leader further said he alone had moved forward in the inquiry of the NLC scandal after being informed by the GHQ that there was nothing to it.

Nisar added that he had spoke to Army Chief Kayani regarding this scandal and told him that those committing corruption while wearing the uniform were responsible for ruining the image of the army.
Nisar gave credit to General Kayani for acknowledging this scandal.
