LHC warns young doctors to desist from strike

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) Tuesday warned Young Doctors' Association (YDA) to refrain from protests and strikes, Geo News reported.

While hearing the case against young doctors’ strike here, LHC Justice Ijaz ul Hassan said that when the issues were being settled with amity, then the series of protests and strikes should halt.

Government’s lawyer told that the committee was giving a final shape to its recommendations relating to the service structure of the young doctors and sought time from the court.

Petitioner Azhar Siddique demanded contempt proceeding against the young doctors.

The hearing of the case was adjourned until October 5.
