Altaf urges students to play role against terrorism
LAHORE: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that the youths, elders, women and students have to play an active role in eliminating terrorism in order to bring peace and harmony in the country.

He was talking to the office-bearers of the MQM Lahore Zone via telephone, said a statement issued by the MQM here on Friday.

Altaf Hussain said that he had always worked for mutual respect among the adherents of different schools of thoughts.

He said he continued to strive for the awakening of national consciousness in people and today enlightened and educated people belonging to the poor and middle classes are being attracted towards his party in all the provinces of the country.

He asked the office-bearers of the Lahore zone to speed up their efforts for making Pakistan an enlightened country under the political thoughts and philosophy of the MQM.

Altaf called upon them to spread his message in districts, tehsils, and towns. (APP
