LAHORE: Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) chief Talal Bugti Tuesday said that former president Gen. (retd.) Pervez Musharraf was liable to death in accordance with Islam and democracy, Geo News reported.
Following his meeting with the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) at Mansura, Talal Bugti talking to media underscored the need of a grand alliance of democratic forces before the general elections. He said he also invited JI, who assured considering the proposal.
Talal Bugti also asked the media to come to take the lead without any fear in promoting the idea of a great alliance, which was the need of the hour, especially in Balochistan, where tortured bodies were found and the democratic forces being killed.
JI Amir Munawwar Hassan said that India was meddling in Balochistan, US intentions were crystal clear and added we all should demonstrate our unity. He also urged all the political parties to get together on one agenda i.e. about the recovery of the missing persons.
Munawwar Hassan said that the government was harbouring terrorists in the name of reconciliation for the last five years.
