Amendments can be made in local bodies system: Zardari

KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that amendments could be made in the newly introduced local body system (Sindh People’s Local Government Ordinance) if needed, Geo News reported.

Chairing the meeting of PPP Sindh core committee here Friday night, President Zardari said he wanted to take all the allies on board. Vandalism and strikes had no use, he said.

The president directed PPP leaders to continue dialogue with the allies.

Local Bodies Minister Agha Siraj Durrani apprised the meeting that PPP had decided to hold a big public meeting in Hyderabad on October 15.
