MINGORA: Malala Yousafzai’s friend, who also received bullet wounds in a shooting incident, said that the assailants identified Malala before opening fire.
Talking to Geo news, a schoolfellow of Malala said that they were on their way home from school when some unidentified assailants forced their vehicle to stop, telling the driver that some of the girls he was carrying in the school van belonged to them.
The driver replied that no one is allowed to look at them after which the assailants asked the school girls on gunpoint to identify Malala and then opened fire, injuring Malala Yousafzai and the two school-mates with her.
