Karachi: Former KP MPA's abducted father recovered

KARACHI: An old man abducted for ransom was recovered, while three kidnappers were killed in a raid here on Tuesday morning, Geo News reported.

According to SSP Niaz Khoso, Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) personnel and Sindh Police raided a building on Hub River Road near Hawke’s Bay area and pulled one Zain-ul-Abideen to safety.

The recovered man is the father of a former member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly, sources told Geo News.

CPLC chief, Ahmad Chinoy, told Geo News that Zain-ul-Abideen was kidnapped for ransom.

Giving details he said the kidnappers put up intense resistance following the raid but were soon neutralized by the lawmen.

“By the end of the encounter three of the abductors were killed, two cops injured, and the abducted senior citizen was safe”, he added.
