LAHORE: LESCO and other electricity providers have disconnected connections of Pakistan Railways. Electricity connections have been disconnected at over 100 stations, 80 residential colonies, workshops, hospitals and offices.
Chairman Pakistan Railways has directed that payments be stopped to other companies so that immediate payment can be made to electricity providers.
Pakistan Railways had written cheques which bounced leading to the disconnections. According to officials, Railways operations have been severely affected.
