QUETTA: The rail traffic, which was suspended due to the recent floods in Balochistan has been restored as Peshawar-Bound Jaffar Express and Karachi-bound Bolan Mail left Quetta station for their destination here on Thursday.
Flash floods triggered by the torrential rains had inundated a portion of railway track between Dera Allahyar and Jacobabad in first week of September.
PR officials said that the technical team has plugged the breaches caused by the gushing water after water receded from the area. The train service has restored and the people willing to depart for other parts of the province could opt the PR railways service, he added.
Earlier, Jaffar Express left Quetta at about 9 am and Bolan Mail at 11 am for Peshawar and Karachi respectively. (APP)
