KHUZDAR: At least eighteen persons were killed and several others were hurt when unknown gunmen opened fire at a petrol pump in Khuzdar that ignited the fuel station and a passenger van standing close by, Geo News reported Friday.
According to police, some unidentified gunmen opened fire at a petrol pump due to which the station caught fire that also engulfed a passenger van nearby. As a result, eighteen persons including a child and a woman were killed while several others were hurt. Five nearby shops were also damaged.
Meanwhile Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani has summoned a report of the incident.
Police and rescue teams were able to control the fire within 30 minutes of reaching the spot. The injured and deceased were rushed to nearby hospitals.
