LAHORE: Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz said on Monday that he had submitted an application to the Speaker, seeking to send a reference for the disqualification of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Geo News reported.
Speaking to media outside the Punjab Assembly, he said that the assembly session would be illegal if the chief minister attended it.
He demanded of Shahbaz Sharif to appear before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in connection with Asghar Khan case.
Riaz also urged Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to order an inquiry into the alleged corruption of billions of rupees in Metro Bus Project.
