DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Jamait Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that persistent functioning of the Pakistan Army in country’s tribal area was a question mark over the independence, dignity and lives of tribal people, Geo News reported on Tuesday.
Talking to media after formation of 40-member Jirga for maintenance of peace in FATA and FR, he said that the government and military establishment should repose confidence in the tribal Jirga.
The maulana said that military operations in the tribal areas would not help resolving issues.
He said that the Jirga would be made effective so that the government and security forces could trust it.
