Govt College Makhdoom Rasheed principal suspended

MULTAN: The Principal of Government Degree College for boys Makhdoom Rasheed, was dismissed on Tuesday after Geo News aired a report that the college was being used for a wedding feast, Geo News reported.

According to Director Colleges Multan Muhammad Hussain Azad, principal of the college, Professor Muneer Ahmed Razmi was suspended on the order of secretary higher education.

Prof Razmi is accused of allowing an influential personality to hold a marriage function on the premises of college.

Meanwhile, Prof Zafar Iqbal Pervaiz has been given the charge of the principal, sources said.

On the other hand Prof Razmi has denied the allegation.

“I had no inkling about any wedding feast being held in my college. I have been framed”, said he.
