Walk-out in Senate over Karachi unrest
ISLAMABAD: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement, the Awami National Party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Baloch nationalists parties staged walk-out from the upper house of the parliament against the worsening law and order in Karachi on Wednesday, Geo News reported.

ANP Senator Zahid Khan said that federal law minister had assured the house on Tuesday that Prime Minister Raja Pervvez Ashraf would take the house into confidence over the situation in the country’s commercial hub but he didn’t attend the session.

He said that the provincial and the federal government had been doing nothing to bring peace in the city despite the lawmakers kept raising the issue for three month.

The government faced for the third consecutive day criticism not only by the opposition but also its allies the MQM and the ANP over the Karachi imbroglio.
