ISLAMABAD: A joint sitting of the parliament which was scheduled to be held at 11 AM on Friday has been cancelled as Egypt President Mohamed Morsi bowed out of his visit to Pakistan.
According to the National Assembly secretariat official, President Asif Ali Zardari had summoned the joint session of the parliament on Friday where the Egypt president was due to address.
Sources said that the Egypt president canceled scheduled trip to Pakistan due to his sister’s demise after which the parliament’s session was postponed.
Morsi was also due to participate in D8 summit, however, the Egyptian vice president is representing his country at the summit on behalf of the Egyptian president.
