RAWALPINDI: Police in Rawalpindi allegedly tortured a man and broke his arms over a money-related matter on Thursday morning, Geo News reported.

According to family sources, Qasim Khan who is a resident of Rawalpindi was allegedly beaten by policemen of Sadiqabad police station over a mere amount of Rs 3000 and after breaking his arms, the cops pushed him out of the truck.

Qasim was rushed to Benazir Bhutto Hospital in critical condition where he was provided treatment.

The SHO of Saadiqabad police station told that police had information that Qasim was involved in drug dealing. He hurt himself by jumping off the building when police arrived to arrest him.

Further investigations are currently underway to find the facts, SHO added.
