Quetta: Striking doctors’ salaries withheld

QUETTA: Balochistan health department of has withheld the salaries of all the doctors on strike in BMC Civil Hospital and Fatima Jinnah Hospital, Geo reported on Sunday.

Balochistan government spokesman said that out of the five thousand doctors in the province only five hundred doctors’ salaries have been stopped and these included all those doctors in Bolan Medical complex Civil Hospital and Fitma Jinnah Hospital, who are on strike persistently, while the five doctors’ deputation in Karachi has been cancelled for stoking the strike.

The spokesman further said that in any district or division of the province no other doctor’s salary has been withheld except the said five hundred.
