LAHORE: Amir Jamat-e-Islami, Syed Munawar Hassan Friday said the level of 'corruption' that the government has indulged in should serve as a wake up call for the people.
"How can the economy of a country flourish where corruption of Rs7 billion takes place on a daily basis under the shelter of government," Munawar Hassan alleged in a statement issued here at JI headquarters - Mansoora.
He said the reports of government corruption making headlines on the country's media makes every Pakistani feel ashamed.
