Asghar Khan case exposed agency-backed poll-winners: PM

FAISALABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that the Supreme Court's decision in Asghar Khan case exposed those who won election with backing of agencies, Geo News reported on Saturday.

Addressing a public gathering, he said that the PPP believed in democracy and was going to complete its 5-year term in the government.

Ashraf said that the PPP and its allies in the government were the guarantors of political stability in the country.

He claimed the situation in the country was different from when the PPP government took charge, as the national exchequer was empty and flour was being imported.
