According to the police, five alleged dacoits were busy in looting on Rodala Road when police van patrolling in the area reached the site after which the dacoits opened fire.
In retaliation, police also opened fire, killing one accused while four others managed to flee. Police said that weapons was also recovered from the dead dacoit.
