SUKKUR: Police resorted to tear gas shelling after it faced resistance in arresting a wanted trader in Cloth Market, Geo News reported on Sunday.
Traders clashed with police after they reached the market to arrest one of their fellows in a case involving a dispute over money. The clash, which left a policeman injured, prompted the law enforcers to disperse the angry traders and shop keepers through tear gas.
Small Traders Sukker President Haji Haroon Memon announced to close business activities in the city in protest.
