Policeman dies in Quetta target killing

QUETTA: A policeman fell victim to the wave of target killings at Kutchlak in the outskirt of the provincial capital on Sunday here, Geo News reported.

Police said that the constable Gulzar was performing his duty at Bostan in Kutchlak area, when some unknown persons opened fire at him, leaving the policeman critically injured, while one passer-by was also wounded. The assassins escaped from the scene.

Following the incident, police and rescue teams arriving at the site of incident shifted the two injured to the civil hospital, where the policeman succumbed to his injuries, while injured passer-by is under treatment.
