Will not disappoint President Zardari: Makhdoom Ahmed

BAHAWALPUR: Punjab governor-designate Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood has said that he would perform his responsibility in a way that President Asif Ali Zardari would not be disappointed, Geo News reported.

Addressing a press conference here Sunday, Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood said he would take oath as Punjab governor on December 25 at the Governor’s House.

The governor-designate said he had been fighting the cause of restoring Bahawalpur province in Punjab assembly and would also fight again after becoming the governor.

He said those who opposed restoration of Bahawalpur province, passed the resolution presented by them in the provincial assembly.
