LAHORE: The Punjab Governor-designate Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood Sunday said that he would take oath of his new office on December 25 and vowed to work on the issue of Bahawalpur province.
Talking to media men here following a meeting with Pakistan People's Party provincial president Mian Manzoor Wattoo, he said he visited the latter to take his guidance, adding he would do his best to work for the party's interest.
He said he would neither live in the Governor House nor use government's vehicle or VIP protocol.
On the occasion, Mian Manzoor Wattoo said 'we would win election in the Punjab by partnering with Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood'.
To a question, Mehmood said Pir Pagar did not expel him from the party and that he himself parted ways with Pakistan Muslim League-Function.
