ZHOB: By-poll for Balochistan assembly constituency PB-18, fallen vacant after the death of local bodies provincial minister, Abdul Khalique Basher Dost, are being held on Monday here, Geo News reported.
Altogether five candidates including the brother of the deceased Abdul Khalique Basher Dost, Dr. Abdul Razzaque, ANP’s Juma Khan Babar and independent candidate Abdul Rahim are contesting for the seat.
Polling in the constituency PB-18 started at 8.00 A.M. this morning, which will continue until this evening without any break.
The number of voters in this constituency tally at 55,255.
Election Commission has set up 67 polling stations for this by-poll, out of which, 24 polling stations have been declared sensitive and section 144 has been clamped in the area.
Police, Balochistan Constabulary, FC have been deployed for the security.
