Toxic cough syrup: Death toll reaches 13

GUJRANAWALA: The death toll of poisonous intoxicating cough syrup drinkers rose to 13 during four days, as two more died on Friday here, Geo News reported.

DHQ Hospital M.S. Dr. Anwar Amanullah said that two more persons died of allegedly taking toxic cough syrup taking the total death toll to 13.

The doctor said that most of them drank cough syrup, while some of them were habitual drug users, who also took the cough syrup for intoxication.
