The Motorway Police said that the highway had been closed as visibility level dropped to zero. The police urged motorists to drive slowly and switch on fog lights. They said that the vehicular traffic was diverted to the Grand Truck (GT)road.
Severe cold weather has been gripping parts of Punjab with dense fog also causing problems for travelers for a week.
