KPK: Musharraf era LB system ends today

PESHAWAR: Following Khayber Pukhtunkhaw provincial cabinet decision to abolish the Musharraf era Local Bodies System and revert back to the old commissioner system, the DCOs across the province have been made the deputy commissioners.

KPK local bodies ministry said that the deputy commissioners would also have the powers of the administrators of the corporation. Magistracy system has also been restored following the placement of deputy commissioners.

Notification regarding appointment of additional commissioners and assistant commissioners is expected to be issued today.
