ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water and Power, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar said on Tuesday that there would be no chance of walkover to anyone in upcoming elections from Gujrat and no one would be given way to escape from the elections.
According to a press release issued here, the minister said this while talking informally to mediamen at his office.
He said there would be a contest between PML-N and PPP and all other parties like PTI and Minhajul Quran are just puppets having support from undemocratic forces.
Soon the leaders of such parties would disappear from the scene when their patrons would pull their support.
He said that new faces are always being introduced in movies but not in politics. Politics demands sacrifices and only PPP have sacrificed its leadership and workers for democracy.
Mukhtar said Pakistan is passing from very difficult time of its history and the PPP leadership did politics of reconciliation during the tenure. "We have opened door for every political party and welcomed to every body as per policy".
Talking about the elections in Gujrat, he said that the opponents have no candidate to field against PPP. Number of people are contacting to join PPP because they know that no one can beat the PPP candidate in Gujrat. "We have always protected the interest of the people of Gujrat," he added.
PPP would contest every national and provincial assembly seat from Gujrat and would succeed, he concluded.
