LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said Tuesday that Tahir ul Qadri was looking for a way out of the long march under the pretext of his arrest ahead of the latter's proposed rally on January 14.
"Even in a case where Tahir ul Qadri and his companions come to us to offer their arrest, we would not take them into custody," Rana Sanaullah said reacting to a statement of Tehreek Minhajul Quran leader Tahirul Qadri.
Rana said that rumors of stopping and harassing transporters were being circulated but, added that the Punjab government had no such intention.
However, he warned that a threat of a terrorist act always looms over big public crowds.
