Mengal govt ouster 'my mistake': Nawaz
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslime League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif Thursday admitted as his 'political mistake' the decision of sending the Mengal government packing in Balochistan during the former's rule.

Addressing the first session of All Parties Conference organized by Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) here, Nawaz Sharif also disclosed that his chief ministers would first go to the then army chief to offer a salute and come to meet with him later.

The PML-N chief warned that any move to block the way of a genuine leadership in Balochistan would be seen as a brutality. "Whoever gets the people's mandate, would be acceptable to him," he said.

He accused the Deputy Prime Minister of supporting the forces attempting to roll back the democratic process in the country. "These people should shun the practice of playing a dual role. On the one hand they are the allies of the government while on the other hand giving statements in favor of the anti-government long march," he lamented.

He said in the entire world only two countries - Pakistan and India - have been left where soldiers are losing their lives at borders, stressing that this would have to be stopped through a dialogue.
