4 bandits killed in alleged encounter in Khairpur

KHAIRPUR: Four dacoits including a proclaimed offender were killed in an alleged encounter in Khairpur, Geo News reported Friday.

According to sources, police took action after getting the tip off regarding the presence of criminals in nearby woods in Gulu Sial area of Khairpur. During the raid, the armed dacoits opened fire on the police force and in retaliation, four bandits were killed including an absconder, Iqbal Narejo.

SSP Khairpur Irfan Mukhtar Bhutto told that the Sindh government had offered one million rupees as head money for the accused.

The criminals were involved in kidnapping for ransom, murder, looting and several other crimes.
