Altaf terms Qadri demands people's voice
LONDON: Leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has said that the demands put forward by Dr. Tahir ul Qadri, potray desires of the people and therefore should be accepted without any delay and the long march should be allowed to run smoothly.

He further said that MQM supports Dr. Tahir ul Qadri’s agenda in order to bring a change to the country's system.

In a statement, the MQM chief said that the government should avoid delaying tactics, as they did in dealing with the Quetta situation, in accepting Dr. Qadri’s just demands aimed at promoting democracy.

He also said that if Dr. Qadri’s demands are not accepted and the long march faces any obstruction the situation could turn into a countrywide protest just like it did in Quetta.

He concluded his statement by saying that MQM will continue its moral support for Dr. Qadri’s agenda in order to bring change to the outdated system of the country.
