LAHORE: The PML-N and opposition parties have clearly said that attempts to derail democracy would not be tolerated.
A crucial meeting of the opposition parties was convened by PML-N president Nawaz Sharif which was attended by Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman, Munawwar Hassan, Professor Sajid Mir, Mir Hasil Bizanjo, Talal Bugti, Mehmood Achakzai, Aftab Shepao, Salim Saifullah, Hamid Nasir Chatha, and Sajid Tareen.
According to a joint-statement issued after the meeting, all parties should be consulted over the caretaker set-up. The statement also called for elections to be held on time.
