ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudary has showed his displeasure to Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over not presenting the record of rental power case to the Supreme Court, Geo News reported on Thursday.
A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the rental power case today. The CJ said that the bench can scrutinize this case as well as it did the Hajj Corruption and Bank of Punjab cases that are exemplary in the history of Pakistan.
Chairman NAB Fasih Bukhari told the court that the record is sensitive and it has been submitted to the Supreme Court registrar.
The Prosecutor General of NAB, KK Agha told the judges that the records are with the DG NAB Rawalpindi and he has been asked to submit it to the registrar office.
However, on this CJ ordered to submit the records to the court and not to the registrar.
On this, Bukhari requested the CJ to give written orders for presenting records to the court, on which CJ reminded that the orders have already be given and it is time to present the files.
