Security beefed up in Quetta

QUETTA: In order to keep the situation calm and under control in Quetta, additional security has been deployed at sensitive locations for Friday prayers, Geo News reported.

According to a senior policeman, more than 2000 policemen and Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel have been posted in different areas while patrolling is also underway.

Strict checking is being carried out by the security men at all the entry and exit points of the city.

Walk-through gates have been set up at main mosques and other worship venues where people will be allowed to enter only after being scrutinized.

The barricades have also been placed in many areas to secure the vicinity from any untoward happening, sources added.
