Bloody elections expected in Karachi: Gabol

LAHORE: PPP leader Nabeel Gabol has said that bloody elections are expected in Karachi, adding that operation cleanup should be carried out in the city before the forthcoming general elections.

Talking to media following his meeting with Nawaz Sharif here on Friday, Gabol said that the criminals in Karachi carried more weapons than that in Waziristan.

The PPP leader said that he told Nawaz Sharif during a meeting that one must have to patronize criminals in order to win seats in Karachi. He said that the MQM is also worried about the situation in the metropolis.

Nabeel Gabol said that he would not leave the PPP until co-chairman of party Asif Ali Zardari sacked him. He said that he would decide to join any other political party while filing nomination papers for next elections.
