ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Friday congratulated Tahirul Qadri, thanking him for organizing peaceful long march, Geo News reported.
Talking to media men along with Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Kareem Kundi at his residence, Rehman Malik offered apology in case if his words hurt anybody before the long march.
He said ‘we are very thankful to Inter Service Intelligence (ISI), Intelligence Bureau (IB) and other security institutions for their cooperation in providing security to sit-in.’
He also thanked Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and the government’s coalition partners.
‘An agreement has been signed between the government and Tahirul Qadri so I would not speak anything against him’, Rehman Malik added.
Meanwhile, Faisal Kareem Kundi congratulated Rehman Malik and said ‘we have convened a meeting of Business Advisory Committee before National Assembly's session on Monday to decide whether the assembly's meeting is last or not of this government term.’
Directives have been issued for magisterial probe in the murder of National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) officer, Faisal Kareem further said.
The slain officer was investigating rental power case.
