PESHAWAR: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) has refused to participate in the All Parties Conference against terrorism that will be hosted by Awami National Party (ANP), Geo News reported on Monday.
Provincial Information Secretary of JI Advocate Israrullah confirmed that the decision was taken in a meeting of JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leaders and endorsed by the central leadership.
According to reports, JI secretary Liaquat Baloch had also participated in the meeting and said that ANP is a follower of American policies, a reason for the mushrooming of terrorism.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl ur Rehman (JUI-F) has also decided not to participate in the conference.
