Kamran Faisal case: Initial report lodged with SC
ISLAMABAD: Police in the federal capital have lodged the initial report of its investigation into National Accountability Bureau (NAB) official, Kamran Faisal’s suspicious death with Supreme Court of Pakistan, Geo News reported.

Sources say some top police officials handed over the report to the SC authorities here on Saturday.

Attached with the dossier, received by the apex court, are the copies of Faisal’s autopsy report, First Investigation Report (FIR), and the testimonies of witnesses.

Police in the report submitted have said that they were still inconclusive whether it was a murder or Faisal hanged himself to death, however given the circumstantial evidence they were more inclined into believing it was a case of a suicide.

A final report would wait until the chemical examination results were known, the sources added.

Faisal, who was engaged in the investigation of Rental Power Plants (RPPs)scandal, was mysteriously found dead in his room in the Federal Lodges on Jan 18.

He was hanging from the ceiling fan when the NAB officials broke into his room on that day, the people who witnessed the scene said.
