They protesters burnt tyres and blocked roads at city’s Ghanta Chowk, suspending vehicular traffic.
They also chanted slogans against the MEPCO. The protesters told that electricity in Lohari Gate area had been suspended since Wednesday afternoon.
A MEPCO official said that the electricity was suspended over power theft and non-payments of bills.
