District Police Officer Muhammad Hussain confirmed that militants attacked Malangi check-post, adding that additional contingent of police had been sent to the area.
Heavy gunfire and explosions were also heard in the area. However no loss of life has been reported from the area so far. Sources said that exchange of fire was also continuing in near the police post.
