Trial court will make decision on Baldia Town JIT report: SHC

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Tuesday observed that the concerned trial court would make a decision pertaining to the joint investigation team (JIT) report of the Baldia Town factory inferno.

During proceedings of the Baldia Town case, the SHC Chief Justice said it was the trial court’s decision to approve or disapprove the JIT report. The SHC ordered that the Baldia Town factory inferno case should be completed within one year.

The deputy attorney general informed the court that the JIT report could not be ignored as it was made by representatives of important institutions. He added that those who had reservations over the report should approach the court.
